Who we are
At Unconventional Missionary, we are first and foremost believers in Jesus Christ, dedicated to advancing His Kingdom. Through our faith, we have been called to use our professional backgrounds as Veterans (Green Berets, Rangers, United States Marines, Navy), Police Officers, and overseas missionaries to support others in their mission to spread the Gospel.
Our unique blend of experience equips us to assist those who answer the call to serve in foreign countries or challenging environments, empowering them to share the message of Jesus Christ with confidence and preparedness, no matter where their journey takes them.

Christian Hickey
FOUNDER
As the founder of Unconventional Missionary, my heart is fully devoted to empowering those who boldly answer the call to foreign missions. With 17 years of extensive overseas experience as a United States Marine, Green Beret, and missionary, I have encountered the profound challenges of serving in both spiritual and high-risk environments. From leading teams in some of the world's most demanding regions to sharing the Gospel in areas of great need, my journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to service.
In addition to my professional background, I am pursuing a Master's degree at Liberty University with a 4.0 GPA, which further enhances my ability to mentor and guide mission teams. My mission is to equip those who go into the field with the knowledge, tools, and spiritual preparedness they need, enabling them to focus on their calling while being fully supported and protected on every level.
